Late-Night Commute Safety
GoAlert is a travel safety and SOS app for Android by Kumawatpulse Technologies that shares live GPS alerts with chosen guardians. It is designed for commuters travelling home after dark — described here as a design intent, never a guarantee of safety.
How does GoAlert help on a late-night commute?
- Activate the Shield before leaving. GoAlert monitors the trip and shows a persistent notification while tracking is on.
- One-tap SOS with live GPS. If anything feels wrong, trigger SOS and chosen guardians receive exact coordinates as an Internet push notification.
- Guardians can check in. With Remote Request enabled, a guardian holding the connection code can request the commuter's live location over the Internet.
- Safety check-in timer. Set a countdown for the expected journey time; a missed check-in sends an automatic SOS.
What are the limits on a night commute?
Alerts need an active Internet connection on both sides to dispatch. GPS weakens indoors, in tunnels, and underground (such as metro stretches). If the phone dies, nothing can be sent. GoAlert is a supplementary tool — in a real emergency in India, call 112 (Police), 108 (Medical), or 1091 (Women Helpline).
