Solo Road Trip Safety
GoAlert is a travel safety and SOS app for Android by Kumawatpulse Technologies that shares live GPS alerts with chosen guardians. It is designed for lone drivers on long routes — described here as a design intent, never a guarantee of safety.
How does GoAlert help on solo road trips?
- Safety check-in timer. Set a countdown for each leg of the journey; if the driver misses check-in, an automatic SOS with live GPS goes to guardians.
- Impact detection. The accelerometer watches for high-G impacts and phone rollovers, with a 15-second countdown to cancel before an SOS is broadcast.
- Low-battery SOS. At about 15% battery, guardians are alerted before the phone can die mid-route.
- One-tap SOS. In any emergency stop, one trigger shares exact coordinates via Internet push notification.
What are the limits on remote routes?
Remote stretches often have no connectivity — alerts can only dispatch when signal is available, on both sides. GPS accuracy drops in tunnels, ghats, and dense cover. Keep the phone charged and mounted, and treat GoAlert as a supplementary tool: in a real emergency in India, call 112 (Police), 108 (Medical), or 1091 (Women Helpline).
